yoga GENTLE/BEGINNERS
Level 1
Tuesday 6pm
These classes are structured to welcome newcomers to Yoga in an accessible way. The perfect place to start if you’ve not been exercising or active for a while, if you are managing a condition or injury, or if you simply want some gentle movement and an environment to soothe your central nervous system. Gentle classes are also a wonderful way to support pregnancy (but please remember to tell your teacher to get the best instruction possible). This class will include some standing poses, seated poses and some poses lying down on your mat, so please make sure you’re ok to get up and down off the floor.
yoga Basics
Level 2
Monday and Wednesday 6pm
Friday 10am
Yoga basics and beginners are related concepts. Yoga basics refers to the foundational principles and poses. It is the most popular of classes due to its carefully crafted balance of explanation, implementation and relaxation. These fundamental aspects of Yoga are usually beneficial for most people and also provide an alternative starting point for active beginners who prefer moderate intensity rather than the gentle nature of level 1 classes. Please note that there will be some weightbearing in the hands.
